Camp Fire USA Snohomish County Council has received a $100,000 leadership gift to the Camp Fire Delivers capital campaign from Fluke. The local technology manufacturing company has a 20-year history of support for Camp Fire programs in Snohomish County.
For the company’s Day of Caring earlier this year, employees chose Camp Killoqua as their project and worked to clean up the damage caused by last winter’s wind storms. The volunteer workers wanted to ensure the camp was pristine for the children that were coming for summer resident and day camp and for the 65 other community non-profits, schools and churches that use the property throughout the year.
Fluke president Barbara Hulit and the company’s corporate contributions liaison Pete Baffaro said in a letter accompanying the donation, “Camp Fire clubs and camping programs are changing lives daily. Camp Killoqua truly is the ‘Crown Jewel of Snohomish County.’ ”
Toby Brown, Camp Fire’s capital campaign coordinator, reports that the campaign is at the 20 percent mark of reaching the organization’s $2.7 million stretch goal.
