Beginning July 1, Washington businesses will be required to change the way they collect and report sales tax. To help business owners and financial managers understand the changing requirements, HomeStreet Bank’s Marysville branch will host free workshops explaining the new sales tax rules and how to implement the changes.
The workshops, scheduled for Monday, April 21, beginning at 3:30 or 6 p.m., will be conducted at Jennings Park by employees of the Washington Department of Revenue. Participants will learn how the sales tax changes affect their business, and what tools and services may be available to help with the transition and implementation of those changes.
