Your kindness can help the Marysville Community Food Bank provide groceries and smiles for hundreds of local families this holiday season.

For more than 35 years, the Food Bank’s annual holiday Toy Store has sparked joy for children in need, providing them brand new toys, books, coats, gloves and more. The 2021 Toy Store served more than 2,000 children throughout Marysville, Tulalip and Lakewood. This event only happens with the generous donations of people, organizations and businesses across our community.

Volunteers are now collecting donations for the 2022 Toy Store and the Food Bank’s holiday food distribution. Here are several ways you can help:

  • Donate toward family meals or holiday gifts for children at www.marysvillefoodbank.org.
  • Drop off food or unwrapped gifts in one the Food Bank’s red giving barrels at locations throughout Marysville, starting November 3.
  • Drop off coats for children and teens at the Marysville Police Department, 501 Delta Ave. If you’d rather shop for coats from home, visit tinyurl.com/policecoatdrive or ship other online purchases to Public Works, 80 Columbia Ave, Marysville, WA 98270.
  • Shop the Toy Store’s Amazon Registry at tinyurl.com/toystoreamazon.

“For many families, the holidays are a time of uncertainty,” said Jim Beaudoin, Executive Director of the Marysville Community Food Bank. “Our hope is to alleviate some of that burden by providing food, toys and warm clothes. The holidays should be a joyful time for all children and all families. We are so grateful for our community coming together year after year to make that happen.”

To register for the Toy Store, families must live in the 98270, 98271 or 98259 zip codes or have children attending Marysville or Lakewood schools. Toy Store registration opens online November 1 through 30 at http://www.marysvillefoodbank.org/toy-store. For registration questions or assistance, [email protected].
