Hey there, movie fans. One year after bestowing the 2007 crown upon the action-comedy spectacular "Hot Fuzz," I have returned with my nominations for the Bob Awards. For those of you who are new to the Bob Awards, there are no trophies, they mean absolutely nothing, and they exist for the sole reason of making me feel better instead of just whining about what the Oscars, Golden Globes, and BAFTAs got wrong. And isn't that what it's all about?

All in all, 2008 was something of a lackluster year at the movies, but like any year, there were some outstanding achievements in the world of film. Here's my short list for the best of 2008.
