Valentine's Day can be troublesome. Do you opt for sentimental cards and flowers, dinner at a break-the-bank restaurant, or those glittering jewels in their little velvet boxes?

If your answer is "none of the above," the Historic Everett Theatre may have just the ticket for you.

On Friday, February 13, violinist Geoffrey Castle and an all-star band present an evening of romantic music and entertainment at the vintage theater, located at 2911 Colby in downtown Everett.

Castle is a Seattle artist whose career includes time spent as a street musician in New York City, performing in the Broadway production of the Tony Award-winning "M. Butterfly" with Tony Randall, and playing with rock greats like Blues Traveler, Jimmy Buffet, Alan White, Buddy Miles, Roger Fisher, Mike Derosier, Ann and Nancy Wilson, among others. The Valentine's Eve show will feature tango dancers, singers and virtuoso musicians for an unforgettable event.

If hearts and flowers aren't your thing for Valentine's Day-or even if they are-check out "My Funny Valentine" at 8 p.m. February 14 at the Historic Everett Theatre.

Presented by the Seattle Comedy Underground, the show features a strong lineup of comedy headliners, all for the price of $25 per person.
