Monologues to support domestic abuse programs

In recognition of V-Day, a global movement to stop violence against women and girls, the VaWa Sisterhood will present a special edition of "The Vagina Monologues" at the Historic Everett Theatre April 17 and 18 at 8 p.m.

The production will benefit Providence Hospital's Intervention Center for Assault and Abuse, a local program that promotes emotional and physical healing for people victimized by sexual violence.

The VaWa Sisterhood is comprised of talented actresses from the Puget Sound region who have been performing this award-winning show, written by Eve Ensler, since 2005. The show is directed by Rachel Bowen and features Machelle Allman, Fiona Bowen, Carolyn Cox, Wendy Enden, Anabel Hovig, Lisa Larson, Carissa Meisner-Smit, Margaret Mullin, Jesse Roth and Laura West.
