The Greater Marysville Artists' Guild is now accepting applications for grants-in-aid and scholarships in the visual arts. Deadline for submission packets is May 15.

Applicants must submit at least five photographs of their work, labeled to identify the artist, medium, year completed, and whether the work was done under instruction or independently (either is acceptable).

To be eligible, graduating high school seniors must be accepted into an accredited or recognized art program. Along with samples of work, submit a letter stating grade point average and describing any art training, experience, and goals, along with a letter of recommendation from a teacher. Scholarships are open to traditional and home-schooled students.

Adult artists should submit work samples, a letter of intent that includes a bio, a description of the class, workshop, or seminar for which funding is sought, the artist's goals for the training, and the cost of the class.

Send submissions to GMAG, Attn: Scholarship Committee, P.O. Box 562, Marysville, WA 98270. For information call Sheila at (360) 658-2727 or Nancy at (360) 387-8492.
