 SOME THINGS FISHY IN ARLINGTON!

Help decorate a large plywood cutout fish and show everyone that Arlington kids are creative as part of a special community art project. Supported by the Friends of the Arlington Library. Friday, October 9, 2 p.m., at the Arlington Public Library, 135 N. Washington Avenue.

 

WATERCOLOR SUNSETS

Join local artist Michele Cooper at the Arlington Library, 135 N. Washington Avenue, to learn basic watercolor techniques while painting a sunset on Saturday, October 10 at 10:30 a.m. All materials supplied; pre-registration required. Call (360) 435-3033 for more information.

 

FUSED GLASS WORKSHOP
Join artist Janet Foley in a workshop to explore fused glass while making your own beautiful fused glass projects. Class will be held from 6-9 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 14, at Jennings Memorial Park Barn (6915 Armar Rd., Marysville). The registration fee is $35 and the materials fee is $25-$45, depending on the project. Pre-registration is required. AUDITIONS FOR MUSIC SERIES

Red Curtain Productions is building a roster of performers for a monthly music series that will feature country, folk and bluegrass music. The first round of auditions for amateur singers and musicians will take place October 20 and 21 at the Historic Everett Theatre, 2911 Colby, from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Singers may perform a capella or with recorded music. BUMP IN THE NIGHT

Last Leaf Productions presents "Things That Go Bump in the Night" at Pacific Rim Supper Club, 3228 Marine Dr. NE in Marysville, Sunday, October 11, at 7 p.m. The show, which will also be performed at Basil and Chives Restaurant in Monroe October 23-24 and 30-31, is a potpourri of songs, poems, and radio-style dramas. Children are welcome, but there may be some scary elements in the plays that are not recommended for children under eight. FRIGHT AT THE OPERA

The Marysville Opera House, at 3rd and Cedar, is the setting for magic and mystery for “Fright at the Opera” featuring Telemus Magic, every Thursday, Friday and Saturday in October (except October 10) beginning at 7 p.m. Dinner by Christie’s Catering, wine provided by WineStyles. For Halloween, October 31, the evening includes a masked ball and prizes along with dinner and the show.
