Bronn Journey

Harpist Bronn Journey has wowed audiences throughout Puget Sound and beyond with his incredible musicianship and skillful interpretations of classical and pop music. Journey's wife Katherine, a vocalist with a clear-as-a-bell soprano voice, completes the duo that garners standing ovations wherever they play.

On Thursday, November 19, at 7 p.m., Bronn and Katherine Journey will perform at the Byrnes Performing Arts Center in Arlington, in a fundraising concert presented by the Arlington Rotary Club.

Journey's musical versatility and humorous approach to a seriously classical instrument have made him a favorite with concert-goers.

"Because of the experience of playing in a variety of settings, I am very comfortable playing in many different styles," commented the harpist. His concert selections range from classical to Broadway to hymns.

The couple has recorded and released nineteen albums on their own recording label, Phileo Music.

"This is an entertainer who is shockingly good," said event chair Ron Love, "and it's a great cause. Every dime raised by the Rotary stays here in our community."

Over the years, the Arlington Rotary has supported local organizations including Kids' Kloset and the Boys' and Girls' Club. Donations from the club helped build the senior center, and the club always distributes at least 100 Christmas baskets to the food bank.

Tickets to the November 19 show, which are available online at www.byrnesperformingarts.org, are $17. Concert-goers are also encouraged to bring a non-perishable food item to the show.

"Our goal is to collect 1,000 pounds of food for the food bank," said Love.
