The favorite children's bedtime story, "Goodnight Moon," will be presented at the Everett Civic Auditorium on Saturday, November 21, along with "The Runaway Bunny," at 2 p.m., courtesy of Pied Piper Village Theatre.

The show, which is recommended for children from pre-kindergarten age to second grade, is mounted by Mermaid Theatre of Nova Scotia as a touring production.

The classic "Goodnight Moon" has charmed families for generations. "Runaway Bunny" evokes the same innocence and love, with a bunny pretending to leave home and his mother's loving responses to the idea. Both tales feature endearing rabbit characters, and the soothing rhythms of bunny banter and dream-like imagery are sure to captivate young audiences.

"Mermaid Theatre does amazing work," commented Erica Weir, Pied Piper's manager. "Although the show is based on books that are very popular with toddlers and preschoolers, it is sure to be a delight for older kids and families as well."

Everett Civic Auditiorium is located at 2415 Colby Avenue, next to Everett High School. Tickets are $12 and $14, and available at the Village Theatre box office or by calling (425) 257-8600.
