The Greater Everett Community Foundation is now accepting applications for grants from the Arts and Culture Fund. Deadline for applications is April 19.

The Arts and Culture Fund was established in partnership with ArtsUnited to "promote the artistic and cultural development of Snohomish County, helping to ensure the growth of local arts experiences by providing funding and support for diverse, high quality programs."

Grants, typically from $1,000 to $5,000, are made to organizations and artists that serve Snohomish County. Applications are available at the GECF Web site, www.greatereverettcf.org; click the link labeled "For Grant Seekers."

The Greater Everett Community Foundation is a community asset built by gifts and bequests from hundreds of individuals, families and businesses. During the past year, GECF granted more than $300,000 to local charitable organizations.
