THEATRE

Phoenix Theatre presents "Taking Steps" by Alan Ayckbourn at the Edmonds theatre, 9673 Firdale Ave., April 2 through May 2. The British farce is a wild ride of mistaken identity, misunderstandings, and dysfunctional relationships in a ridiculously hilarious production. Tickets are available at www.brownpapertickets.com or the Phoenix box office, (206) 533-2000.

Adagio Players offers "Enchanted April" at the Historic Everett Theatre April 9-25. The enticement of an enchanting Italian holiday captivates the hearts of two British housewives on a drizzly London afternoon in 1922, and fills their imaginations with wisteria and sunshine. Tickets available at www.everetttheatre.org or by calling (425) 258-6766.

See "The Hallelujah Girls," produced by Reunion Theatre Group, April 9-18 at the Milltown Sailing Association, 410-14th Street, on the waterfront in Everett. Friday and Saturday shows are at 8 p.m., and Sundays at 2 p.m. A Saturday 2 p.m. matinee is also planned for April 17. Tickets are $13 and $10, available through www.brownpapertickets.com or by calling (425) 422-0274. Visit www.reuniontheatergroup.org for information.

MUSIC

"Songs of the American Cowboy" is the theme for the April 30 Hometown Hootenanny, beginning at 7:30 p.m. at the Historic Everett Theatre, 2911 Colby Ave. Hear traditional western favorites, reminiscent of Gene Autry, Roy Rogers and Willie Nelson. Tickets at www.brownpapertickets.com or by calling (425) 258-6766.
