Village Theatre Pied Piper presents the story of "Max & Ruby" by the New York-based TheatreworksUSA on Sunday, May 23, at 2 p.m. at the Everett Civic Auditorium, 2415 Colby Avenue in Everett.

The show boasts strong themes about family, love, sibling relationships, and childhood imagination, and is aimed for those ages 3-10 and their parents. Short scenes and recognizable characters will engage the younger ages, while the creative costumes and visuals, along with the well-written script and music, will appeal to the whole family.

The kid-friendly musical is based on the top-rated Nickelodeon television show inspired by author Rosemary Wells' bunny siblings, Max and Ruby. The characters are sweet and charming, and show a positive model of siblings resolving differences in respectful and supportive ways.

Erica Weir, Pied Piper manager, commented, "Kids grow up so quickly and there is so much pushed upon them. Presenting a delightful family show like 'Max & Ruby,' which is an entertaining crowd pleaser and still retains childhood innocence, seemed like a perfect close to our 2009-2010 Pied Piper season."

Tickets are priced at $12 and $14, and are available by phone at (425) 257-8600 or online at www.villagetheatre.org.
