Several local performing arts organizations have announced their 2010-2011 season lineup, and the year ahead is looking very entertaining.

The Phoenix Theatre in Edmonds, formerly Edge of the World, has packed its third season with six audience-pleasing comedies. The community theatre players will present "Once in a Lifetime," a Kaufman and Hart classic comedy, September 3-26. That show will be followed by "The Complete History of America, Abridged," and a holiday presentation of "The Farndale Avenue Housing Estate Townswomen's Guild Dramatic Society's Production of A Christmas Carol" (whew).

2011 will bring "Da," "Drinking Alone" and "The Smell of the Kill" to the Phoenix stage.
