Lewis and Clark Nicholas Poling, a Marysville-Pilchuck High School graduate and Everett Community College alumnus, has teamed up with fellow EvCC alum Alex DeRoest to form Final Boss Productions, a local production company. The two playwrights have crafted an original two-act play, "The Thrilling Adventures of the Famous Lewis and Clark!" that runs Fridays and Saturdays at 7:30 p.m. through May 7 at The Creatives Underground Theater in Everett.

The young writers and actors drew on classic 1930s and '40s style adventure serials for the tone of their show. "The Thrilling Adventures..." is a fun, tongue-in-cheek episodic comedy presented in two acts.

"We were inspired by early movie serials like Flash Gordon and adventure films like Indiana Jones," said Poling.

"Local directors and actors performing an original play from local playwrights at a brand new theater is certainly one of the most important things happening in our ever-growing arts scene," Poling continued.

Tickets can be purchased at the door, with a suggested donation of $15. The Creatives Underground Theater is situated under 3231 Creatives, a shared art space and gallery at 3231 Broadway in Everett. The show may be inappropriate for young children.
