Hundreds of visitors to downtown Arlington, some drawn by the dedication of Firehouse 46 or the unveiling of the 9/11 artifact, discovered a wide range of local artists and their unique works on the grass at Legion Park.

Art in the Park, the Arlington Art Council's annual showcase event, attracted dozens of creative vendors and artwork that ranged from custom furniture to handmade jewelry, photography, original paintings and more.

Brad Grinage of Arlington's Goods from the Woods exhibited his unique style of rustic furniture, yard art and birdhouses. Arlys Pederson, a Seattle-area artist, demonstrated her unique art, made from real plants, at Pederson's Garden Poundings. Several members of the Arlington Arts Council had booths to display their artwork.

Art in the Park is an annual two-day event that also includes recognition of local artists and the introduction of new public art pieces purchased by the Arts Council.
