The Hometown Band, which anchors each Hometown Hootenanny, will be in the spotlight for the entire evening of March 10 at the Historic Everett Theatre, 2911 Colby in downtown Everett, beginning at 7:30 p.m. The band will perform a wide range of country music, from classic to contemporary, during the two-hour show.

The March 10 Hootenanny will be recorded live for production of a CD, and the audience is invited to add that element of excitement that makes live recordings so special. Red Curtain Productions, which produces the Hometown Hootenanny, hopes to have the CD available in early summer.

The Hometown Band is made up of six professional local musicians-drummer Dave McCabe, Buck Hammock on lead guitar and pedal steel, Jim Barela (aka Jimi Lee) on rhythm guitar, Larry Greenleaf on bass, John Gilbert on keyboard, and lead singer Dan Leal (pictured at left). All have deep roots in the Snohomish County music scene and the house band has developed a loyal following based on their performances at the Hootenanny over the past two-plus years.

For the March 10 show, the band will be joined by fiddle player Steve Bickle. Former lead singer Jeremy Randall also makes a guest appearance to sing with the band.

Advance tickets for the Hometown Hootenanny are priced at $16.50 for adults, $13 for seniors and students, and $5 for kids 12 and under. A special family package of two adult and two child/student tickets (up to age 18) is available online only at the reduced price of $39.50.

Purchase tickets 24 hours a day online at www.brownpapertickets.com or by calling 1-800-838-3006. Tickets are available at the theatre box office at 2911 Colby Ave. during regular hours or by calling (425) 258-6766 (service fees apply). Admission to the show can also be purchased at the door, beginning one hour prior to showtime.

The Hometown Hootenanny is a family-friendly event, presenting live music and a variety of entertainers in a classic venue in downtown Everett.
