Arlington Public Schools is accepting public comment on proposed director district boundary changes during a public hearing at its May 23 board of directors meeting. The meeting begins at 6 pm in the Board Room at the District Office building (315 N French Avenue, Arlington).
“Every 10 years, following the U.S. Census, Arlington Public Schools is required to redraw its Board of Directors’ districts to ensure equitable geographic representation,” said Brian Lewis, Executive Director of Operations. “Redistricting of school board director areas does NOT affect student attendance boundaries.”
In addition to public comments at the board meeting, comments can also be shared with Mr. Lewis at [email protected].
More information, including draft maps, can be found on the district website at www.asd.wednet.edu under the Administration/School Board area.
