Arlington won four matches in during the past two weeks to improve their record to 11-1.
The Eagles last week defeated Meadowdale Oct. 13 in three sets 25-9, 25-22 and 25-9.
Emily Mekelburg had two aces, 16 kills and three digs and Taylor Pederson had two aces, six kills, 21 assists and five digs. Malia Shepherd had six aces, 10 kills and 13 digs and Chloe Lewis had eight aces, 12 digs and one assist. Brookelynn Ramey had three aces, 16 assists and three digs, coach Kelly Pederson said in an email.
Two days earlier on Oct. 11, Arlington beat Mountlake Terrace in three sets 25-18, 25-17 and 25-22.
Mekelburg had three aces, 20 kills and four digs and Pederson had two aces four kills, 14 assists and four digs. Shepherd had four aces, eight kills and three digs and Lewis had one ace, 14 digs and two assists. Ramey added six aces, 13 assists and six digs.
Earlier in the month, Arlington won against Shorewood Oct. 6 in three sets 25-19, 25-11 and 25-14 at Arlington High School.
Mekelburg had seven aces, 13 kills, eight digs and one block. Pederson had one ace, six kills, 17 assists, three digs and one block, Shepherd had four aces, six kills, three digs and one block while Lewis had three aces, 13 digs and two assists. Ramey added one ace, 11 assist and six digs, Pederson said in an email.
Two days earlier on Oct. 4, Arlington traveled to Cedarcrest and won in three sets 25-10, 25-8 and 25-12. Mekelburg had two aces, 12 kills and five digs. Pederson had four aces, six kills, 17 assists and three digs. Lewis had seven aces and eight digs, Pederson said.
Arlington’s only blemish on its record came Sept. 9 against Lake Stevens, which is the top ranked 4A school in Washington, according to WIAA.
The Eagles, who is ranked second in the 3A WIAA poll.
